Academic Performance

As you may have read, the California Department of Education recently released our school Academic Performance Index (API) score for the 2006-07 school year. The state target score is 800. The score is derived from a complex formula that includes a school’s scores on the California State Standards tests. A school is considered “high performing” if it has an API of 800 or above. Our score of 845 represented a gain of 43 points from the previous year. Congratulations to the entire school community for their efforts to improve student achievement. Because of our school score, we have been invited to apply for the California School Recognition Program as a distinguished school. You should have received additional information about this program and how you can help me with completing the application. I appreciate your support of the school’s efforts in the application process. Please contact the school office if you need additional information.
