RESERVATIONS
The City of Rohnert Park has various parks and recreation
facilities available for the community. Uses are open to
groups on a reservation basis (except Roberts Lake picnic
area). All facility reservations are taken at the Rohnert Park
Community Center, 5401 Snyder Lane, between the hours of 8:30
a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS
ALICIA PARK (300 Arlen Drive) 5 acres - playground
and horseshoe pits. Group picnic area with 10 tables and
barbecue and 9 individual picnic tables. Night-lighted youth
baseball field and 1 unlighted multi-use softball/soccer
field. Adjacent to John Reed School play and soccer fields.
Restrooms. (Electric outlets available at baseball concession
stand, back wall of Scout Hut, baseball outfield poles and
scoreboard, and by pool fence near large barbecue pit.)
BENICIA PARK (7450 Santa Barbara Drive) 6 acres -
group picnic area with tables and barbecue. Eleven picnic
tables. One night-lighted softball field and one unlighted
softball field. Adjacent to Waldo Rohnert play and soccer
fields. Restrooms. (No electricity)
CATERPILLAR PARK (7430 Circle Drive) 3 acres - play
equipment for tots and older children. Soccer field and open
turf. (No electricity)
COLEGIO VISTA PARK (1200 Southwest Blvd.) 5 acres -
play equipment for tots and older children. Individual
barbecues and 4 picnic tables. One unlighted multi-use youth
baseball/soccer field. Restrooms. (Electric outlets located
under electric panel behind baseball field backstop.)
DOROTEA PARK (895 Santa Dorotea Circle) 6 acres -
play equipment for tots and older children. Group picnic area,
7 tables with 2 individual barbecues. Horseshoe pits, one
unlighted youth baseball field, night-lighted basketball
court, and tennis practice backboard. Restrooms. (No
electricity)
EAGLE PARK (1115 Emily Avenue) 10 acres - play
equipment for 6-12 year olds. Lighted multi-use softball and
soccer field. Adjacent to Evergreen School soccer field.
Restrooms. (No electricity)
GOLIS PARK (1450 Golf Course Drive) 13 acres -
lighted multi-use soccer and softball field, play equipment,
baseball field, 2 night-lighted basketball courts, roller
hockey court and 5 picnic tables with individual barbecues.
Restrooms. (Electric outlets located inside tennis court area
and between tennis courts and play area.)
HONEYBEE PARK (1170 Golf Course Drive) 10 acres -
One unlighted softball field, playfield, 2 night-lighted
basketball courts, play equipment for tots and older children,
and 5 picnic tables and individual barbecues (2). Restrooms.
(No electricity)
LADYBUG PARK (8517 Liman Way) 5 acres - play
equipment for 6-12 year olds. Adjacent to La Fiesta playfield.
Four picnic tables and individual barbecues (2). One youth
baseball field and 1 youth soccer field. Restrooms. (Electric
outlet located on 1st baseline of ball field.)
MAGNOLIA PARK (1401 Middlebrook) 13 acres (1st phase) -
One lighted combination softball/soccer field and one lighted
combination youth baseball/soccer field with concession stand.
Eight lighted tennis courts, lighted basketball courts, play
equipment, 6 individual picnic tables and 2 barbecues.
Restrooms. (Electric outlets on each tennis court and
basketball court, on concession stand by phone booth and on
each backstop.)
RAINBOW PARK (1345 Rosana Way) 2.68 acres - One
lighted basketball court, one lighted tennis court, play
equipment for tots and older children, and 5 individual picnic
tables and 2 barbecues. NO restrooms. (One electric outlet
located on tennis court and one on basketball court.)
ROBERTS LAKE (5010 Roberts Lake Road) 9 individual
picnic tables available on a first-come, first-serve basis (no
barbecues), fishing pier. NO restrooms. (No electricity)
SUNRISE PARK (5201 Snyder Lane)
9 acres - night-lighted softball and soccer fields.
Night-lighted basketball courts, lighted tennis practice
backboard, 10 individual picnic tables with barbecues, and
play equipment. Restrooms. (Electric outlets located on light
pole for middle tennis court, outside tennis courts on path
and on west light pole of softball field.)
PICNIC AREA PROCEDURES & RULES
- Reservations for picnic area usage must be made in
person between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, at
the Rohnert Park Community Center, 5401 Snyder Lane. RESERVATIONS
MAY BE MADE BY A ROHNERT PARK RESIDENT OR BUSINESS ONLY.

- There is a $5 processing fee for any canceled
reservation.
- Groups of more than 100 serving alcohol must provide
general liability insurance coverage in the amount of
$1,000,000 naming the City of Rohnert Park as additional
insured. PROOF OF INSURANCE MUST BE SUBMITTED ON CITY OF
ROHNERT PARK FORMS ONLY. If unable to provide coverage,
contact the Recreation Department for assistance in
obtaining it.
- Park usage is limited to daylight hours and hours of
reservations, if another group has reserved the area. Use
of the parks adjacent to schools during school hours where
alcohol is being used or amplified music is requested is NOT
allowed.
- Softball fields may be reserved in conjunction with
picnic area use. Fields can be reserved for one (1) hour
during the week and one and one half (1 1/2) hours on
weekends.
- Due to vandalism problems at the parks, groups should
bring paper products for the rest rooms.
- Any problems (sprinklers coming on, etc.) that occur on
weekends or weekday evenings should be reported to the
City of Rohnert Park Department of Public Works' duty man
by telephoning the Public Safety Department at 584-2600.
- Each group is responsible for keeping the area clean of
trash. If the garbage containers are full, please call the
Department of Public Works' duty man at the above number.
Please DO NOT move dumpsters.
- Vehicles ARE NOT to be driven on the park grass.
Violators may be cited.
- Sound-amplifying equipment requires an approved permit
which must be submitted two weeks (10 working days) prior
to the reservation date.
- Groups renting party jumps must note it on their
application. Companies providing the jump must have
liability insurance on file with the City of Rohnert Park
naming the City as an additional insured.
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE PARKS.
TOT LOTS AND MINI-PARKS
General play equipment for children nine and under.
Mini-parks do have equipment for older children.
Tot Lots (less than 1/4 acre): Burton Avenue,
Carlita Circle, Civic Center, Lilac Way, and Jasmine. Mini-Parks
(less than one acre): Meadow Pines, LaCrosse and Lydia
TENNIS COURTS
All city lighted tennis courts operate on a timer basis and
can be turned on by pushing a button. If you are the last
person to use the courts, please turn the lights off (if
applicable). The courts are for the public's use and your
cooperation in keeping the lights off when not in use is
appreciated. Rules are posted governing the use of the courts.
ALICIA PARK (Santa Alicia Dr.) - Two night-lighted
courts automatically shut off at 10:30 p.m.
DOROTEA PARK (895 Santa Dorotea Circle) - Two
night-lighted courts automatically shut off at 10:30 p.m. and
practice backboard
EAGLE PARK (1115 Emily Ave.) - Two night-lighted
courts automatically shut off at 11:00 p.m.
GOLIS PARK (1450 Golf Course Drive) - Two
night-lighted courts automatically shut off at 9:30 p.m.
HONEYBEE PARK (1170 Golf Course Dr.) - Two
night-lighted courts automatically shut off at 10:30 p.m.
LADYBUG PARK (8517 Liman Way) - Two day-use courts
only.
RAINBOW PARK (1345 Rosana Way) - One night-lighted
court.
SUNRISE PARK (5201 Snyder Lane) - Four night-lighted
courts and a lighted warm-up wall.
* CREEKSIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL - Six day-use only courts.
* SONOMA STATE UNIVERSITY - Twelve day-use only
courts.
* All school tennis courts are not available during the
periods schools are in session.
CENTERS AND BUILDINGS
For information regarding the use of the first three
recreation centers and buildings listed below and their rental
fees, call the Rohnert Park Recreation Department at 588-3456.
ROHNERT PARK COMMUNITY CENTER (20,400 sq. ft.) 5401
Snyder Lane: Recreation Department offices, multi-use room,
meeting rooms (3), conference room, games room, lounge, patio,
and kitchen.
BURTON AVENUE RECREATION CENTER (6,700 sq. ft.) 7421
Burton Avenue: Main hall, veranda, and kitchen.
LADYBUG PARK RECREATION BUILDING (1,145 sq. ft.)
8517 Liman Way: One room with stove and sink.
PETER M. CALLINAN SPORTS CENTER (33,000 sq. ft.)
5405 Snyder Lane: Gymnasium, two racquetball courts, weight
room, child care room, and locker room with sauna and spa. For

SENIOR CENTER (8,120 sq. ft.) 6800 Hunter Drive,
Suite A: Activity Room, Drop-In Center, senior craft shoppe,
counseling and health rooms, classroom, billiards room, card
playing areas, and dining site. For more information call the
